Model Mallet
Five-panelRobert Mallet-Stevens was a French architect, perhaps best known for his design of Villa Cavrois. As an architect, he stood out for his modern and rational vision of architecture. Alongside Le Corbusier, he is considered one of the most influential figures of the interwar period. His modernist style and unique combination of cubist and rounded forms served as the inspiration for the panel layout of our steel door.

Light as a full-fledged material
In the early 1920s, Mallet-Stevens—active across various fields—designed a range of shopfronts and retail interiors. From this experience, he developed a renewed vision of light, treating it as a full-fledged material. This was groundbreaking at the time and set him apart from other architects of his era. His masterpiece, the famous Villa Cavrois, was designed as a modern castle with extensive use of metal, glass, and steel. Since the memoirs of Mallet-Stevens were destroyed at his own request, his exact thought process remains unclear. However, the villa stands as a textbook example of the modernist vision of the 1920s.
