About Hoeshmand Mahmoed
AboutIn 2026, the collaboration between De Rooy and Hoeshmand Mahmoed of HMVD Architecten began with a design for steel doors in The Loft by Hoeshmand. This inspiring design space was presented during The Art of Living in Rosmalen. Hoeshmand says: ‘The Eclipse design consists of two double steel doors with the same design, yet with a completely different appearance. One family, two doors. For the bedroom, more wood and less glass were chosen. This creates privacy and calm. For the bathroom, by contrast, more glass was used, so that the freestanding bath and natural stone remain visible.’ Speaking about the collaboration with De Rooy, Hoeshmand says: ‘What I like most about working with De Rooy is the communication. Always refined and professional.’
Linda Lagrand
AboutIn 2025, the collaboration between De Rooy and Linda Lagrand started with a refined new design for steel doors: Balance. For a substantial detached Luxury villa, she created the entire interior design. With Balance, she translated her vision of balance within interiors into a door design in which asymmetrical harmony takes centre stage. Linda explains: ‘We were already familiar with De Rooy from the market, and we had also heard positive stories about working with them via the FritsJurgens pivot system. My work always revolves around colour, tranquillity and nature. With this door design, we wanted to reflect that tranquillity through a balance of shapes and materials. What I value so highly about De Rooy is their craftsmanship. They know how to translate my design into perfection down to the smallest detail. Every line, every weld and every finish is flawless.’
Kees Marcelis
AboutIn 2024, Kees Marcelis took a new step in the design of steel doors with a model that will not easily lose its appeal: Linea. The starting point was a wow-effect combined with versatility through a variation in material choices. Kees: ‘As a studio, we are always looking for reliable and professional companies, and I recognised those qualities very quickly in De Rooy. The collaboration between the studio and De Rooy can best be described as no-nonsense. They do their work, listen to our vision, and perhaps most importantly: nothing ever really goes wrong. That leads to satisfied customers. Their down-to-earth and smart way of working definitely leaves me wanting more.’
Mariska Jagt
AboutIn 2024, the collaboration between De Rooy and Mariska Jagt (Yume Atelier) began with a stunning new design for steel doors: ‘The Arc’. This refined design combines clean lines with subtle curves, creating the perfect balance between strength and elegance. Mariska explains: ‘From the moment we were introduced, there was an immediate connection. What I appreciate about this company is their modesty and integrity. This creates a pleasant collaboration, allowing me as a creative to operate with complete freedom. This leads to the most beautiful designs, supported by their technical and commercial expertise.’
