Frequently Asked Questions

We can powder-coat our steel doors in any RAL color.

You can choose from three different profiles for our steel doors. By profiles we mean the shape and thickness of the steel frame of the doors. Each profile has its own appearance. Together with choosing the right handles and the desired surface division, the profile gives the finishing touch to your steel door.

FritsJurgens always designs a perfect hinge for the perfect door. This makes FritsJurgens a perfect fit. The special thing about the pivot mechanism is that it is strong, maintenance free, timeless and stylish. Want to know more about the pivot mechanism of FritsJurgens? Then read on.

Our steel doors contain safety glass Stadip from Saint Gobain Glass. This glass consists of two sheets of glass with an adhesive plastic film between them that connects the sheets. Should the glass break, the shards stick to the plastic film. Read more about our safety glass here.

Steel doors are available in various types and sizes. You can choose from single doors, double doors, fixed panels and doors with side panels. In addition, we offer various mechanisms: a sliding door, pivot door or hinged door.

A pivot mechanism is attached to the top and bottom of the door. The door rotates around an axis: this allows the door to open to both sides. A pivot door does not require a frame. We work with the mechanism of FritsJurgens. This system is of very high quality and has the special feature that no recess in the floor is needed.

You can come to us for hinged doors, sliding doors and pivot doors.

Yes, our steel doors receive a 2-layer powder coating. This makes the paint stronger and the door stays beautiful longer. It also adds to the protection and durability of the doors. You can read more about powder coating here.

We offer a wide variety of door hardware, such as a push bar or a corner handle. Our door hardware can be found here. Of course, we can also make custom door hardware. Please contact us for that.

Our glass is always safety glass. This glass consists of two sheets of glass with an adhesive plastic film between them. This foil is standard transparent, but it can also be replaced by an opaque layer. The glass with an opaque layer is called milk glass.

On our website you can see our models. In addition to the models shown, we can also provide customization with, for example, a unique asymmetrical tessellation.

A sliding door hangs from a rail on the ceiling. This allows the door to slide along or into a wall.

A hinged door opens to one side of the door and is attached to the frame on the side. Our hinges have bearings and are made of stainless steel and can be supplied in the color of the door. A hinged door closes into the steel frame.

Make sure the cutouts are ready before we come to measure. Only then can we measure your steel door properly. The recesses are ready as soon as:

• The floor, walls and ceiling around the door are completely finished;
• All dimensional layers, such as stucco and baseboards, are in place;
• The stucco around the opening is parallel. The maximum deviation is 4 millimeters.

Don’t have the recesses ready in time for the measuring appointment? Then you can cancel the appointment up to 24 hours in advance free of charge.

• The space in which your steel doors will be installed must be easily accessible and empty;
• Recesses must conform to the approved final drawing;
• The floor and walls must be level and swept clean;
• We must have access to electrical power supplies;
• Please indicate any power, water and/or gas lines in advance.

Make sure there is adequate anchoring capability at the sliding door rail location.

Would you like to change this appointment? Then you can do so free of charge up to 48 hours before the assembly date. To do so, please contact us at 0318-573231.

Yes, it is certainly possible. We drill to a maximum depth of 8 millimetres into the floor. Normally, underfloor heating is not yet present at this depth. Therefore, it is no problem at all.

With our pivot doors, we mount the rosette in your ceiling. Therefore, make sure there is concrete, wood (at least 60 millimeters) or steel in the ceiling.

Ensure that adequate anchoring options are available at the steel frame location.

After written agreement (by mail) on the drawing, we proceed to production. Changes are no longer possible.

Our unique production method is protected by a patent. This means that only we are allowed to make steel doors according to the way we do. The frames of our doors have no welds. This makes the frames much stronger and also makes them look more beautiful. In addition, our doors have a brand label. The label stands for quality and Dutch design.

In close cooperation with some suppliers, we have set up our own production process. We work together with the following parties:

• FritsJurgens B.V. for the pivot mechanism
• Alphenberg for the leather on the steel doors
• Osiris Hertman, who designed exclusive handles

Our steel doors are made in Veenendaal. We produce and assemble our doors completely in-house. This is how we guarantee the highest quality.
