Steel doors in historic Sint Lucia Monastery
In this stunning historic monastery in Bennebroek, we installed steel hinged doors with side panels. Since 1896, the Sint Lucia Monastery has stood as a prominent building in the centre of Bennebroek. Over the years, it was expanded with a presbytery, church, school, and garden. Today, the monastery has been modernised and consists of seven townhouses and eleven apartments. In one of these townhouses, Bureau Fraai created a beautiful interior, perfectly complemented by our steel hinged doors in the living and dining room. Photos by Jaro van Meerten (The Art of Living).
Authentic and modern: the perfect combination
The installed steel hinged doors are made with our slim DRM-P10 profiles and finished with a two-layer Jet Black fine texture powder coating (RAL 9005). An asymmetrical 3-panel layout (Aalto) was chosen, paired with Piet Boon handles (DRM-G5L).
Steel hinged doors with fixed panel
In this beautiful townhouse, many authentic monastery details remain visible. Our steel hinged doors complement an interior characterised by an industrial style with warm, raw, and bold elements. By integrating modern features into the home, the result is a perfect blend of authenticity and contemporary design.
