In this stunning townhouse near Hoorn and the Markermeer, interior and product designer Remy Meijers took the lead. The result is a space that exudes calm while still stimulating the senses. Every room offers something new to discover. From the cast floor in the basement to the oak floor on the bel étage – this home has character. Meijers selected our double Cuypers steel doors, which beautifully reflect the architectural lines of the home. We are proud of this collaboration!
Steel doors in a townhouse
According to Remy, the challenge in this townhouse was “to design the interior in such a way that both focal points were fully appreciated.” He positioned the living areas at the front and back of the house, with the functional spaces in the middle – ensuring the view could be enjoyed to the fullest. The steel doors we installed connect the spaces while maintaining flow and unity, making the home feel welcoming from the moment you enter.

This home features the asymmetrical Cuypers panel layout, the edge pull, and our slim profile. One door was also fitted with frosted glass – ideal for separating the bedroom from the landing.
