Steel pivot doors with allure in a historic home
In the historic town centre of Wijk bij Duurstede stands a home where history and contemporary craftsmanship come together. Studio Kees Marcelis designed an interior in which every material has been chosen with care. Our steel doors enhance the sightlines, draw natural light through the interior and give it a calm sense of cohesion.

Transparency with allure
On the ground floor, the spaces flow into one another, open yet full of character. Two steel pivot doors with clear glass mark the transition between the kitchen and living room. A third pivot door connects the hall to the staircase. Natural light flows freely through the floor, while each space retains its own atmosphere.
“Natural light flows through the ground floor thanks to the use of various steel doors and an open structure.” Studio Kees Marcelis

Chinchilla glass that filters
In the relaxation room, the pivot doors are fitted with Chinchilla glass. This material filters the view and adds softness to the clean lines. Further into the home, a double pivot door with clear glass connects the bedroom to the dressing room. All steel doors are fitted with the edge pull and finished in a black grey powder coating. This dark shade gives the doors an understated sense of luxury that blends seamlessly with the warm wood and rich fabrics in the home. The doors bring calm, rhythm and cohesion to the interior.
