From villa to dream villa with bespoke steel doors
Fifteen years ago, this former farm barn in Zeelandic Flanders was transformed into a spacious villa. For its latest redesign, the interior was given a warmer, richer and more refined feel. Our steel doors create a sense of unity throughout. The dark Anodic Brown finish complements the colour and material palette beautifully, giving the home a warm and inviting atmosphere.
A generous pivot door leading into the living room
An extra-wide steel pivot door in the Cuypers model leads into the living room. Its slender lines, subtly integrated handle and clear safety glass create an open and spacious feel. Thanks to the FritsJurgens pivot system, the door moves smoothly in both directions and closes gently and silently.
Steel hinged doors for peace and privacy
Behind the living room are the library and TV room: two spaces designed for peaceful retreat. The double steel hinged doors are fitted with rubber sealing strips and a drop-down seal, significantly reducing the amount of sound that passes through. This makes it easy to escape the surrounding noise without compromising the villa’s open and spacious feel.
For the redesign, Designa selected bespoke steel doors by De Rooy Steel Doors. The result was featured on the RTL 4 program ‘Van Woonvilla naar Droomvilla’.
