Steel doors in a modern villa in Bilthoven

In this contemporary home in the green surroundings of Bilthoven, we installed several steel doors. The owners selected our brand-new Sullivan model and the refined Mendelsohn model. The choice of these two different models reflects the home’s character and diversity. The doors help define distinct living spaces, each with its own unique style.

At the entrance, guests are warmly welcomed by two double steel doors with side panels. You’ll also find our doors throughout the home—in the living room, side room, sauna access, and bedroom. We also installed a glass viewing panel that offers a lovely view of the garden from the first floor.

Combination of models

Using both the Mendelsohn and Sullivan models creates a beautiful visual unity throughout the house. The rooms transition seamlessly while still offering privacy where needed. These doors are not only visually impactful—they also provide practical benefits.

Sullivan

Sullivan model: ‘Form follows function’

The Sullivan model joined our steel door collection in 2023. It’s inspired by American architect Louis Henry Sullivan, known for his philosophy of optimising living space. This door model serves multiple functions: it acts as a stylish divider and creates a bold design statement. In this home, the Sullivan doors are a prime example of that philosophy. The coating selected by the owners blends beautifully into the interior, providing a pleasing contrast with the black cabinets and white walls.
