Unique doors at Van der Valk Hotel Enschede
Naturally, we take pride in every project we complete—but some stand out more than others. One such project is the Van der Valk Hotel in Enschede. When the hotel was built last year, we were asked to install steel doors in the hotel bar. It was a pleasure to contribute, and the result is something we are proud of.
Pivot and
hinged doors
Both pivot and hinged doors were installed in the hotel bar. The design features Cuypers custom doors, a variation on our Taut model. These doors are built with slender DRM-P10 Rank profiles, giving them a refined finish. The pivot doors are equipped with Pull Handles and the hinged doors with Piet Boon handles. All doors are finished in a fine texture powder coating (RAL 9004), which requires minimal maintenance—ideal for a busy hotel setting.

Van der Valk Enschede opened its doors last year. With 152 rooms and suites, it’s a stylish hotel. Every year, thousands of people pass through the hotel bar—meaning not only do they see our doors, but they use them often too. That’s no issue for our steel doors. Our frames are made without weld seams, making them both more attractive and stronger. We’re proud that our doors are a highlight of this hotel.
