Bespoke steel arched door with curved glass
In a characterful home in Haarlem, we created a steel pivot door you do not often see: a fully bespoke design with an arch and curved glass panels. The door connects the modern, warm kitchen-diner with the authentic hallway. We installed this door in collaboration with interior architect Mathijs van Diepen and ’t Klooster Interieurmakers.
A seamless part of the home
In this beautiful home, the architecture takes the lead. The arched shape reflects the authentic character of the home and complements the classic details beautifully. The steel pivot door and arched opening are perfectly matched, creating one harmonious whole. The Bronze Metallic Non Bonded coating gives the steel door a warm, refined look that beautifully complements the kitchen, the terrazzo floor and the stained glass.
Bespoke down to the millimetre
A steel arched door with curved glass requires specialist bespoke work. The fixed panels at the sides and top, the curved profiles and the connection to the floor, wall and ceiling are all precisely coordinated. It is a design that may seem straightforward on paper, but in practice requires precision and experience.
