A door as a work of art
The design process for this panel layout took approximately half a year. “That may seem like a long time, because you might think: a door is just a rectangle,” says Remy, “but that is exactly what makes it a challenge to create something special.” Remy’s design language can be described as understated, where good structure and a harmonious rhythm are key factors. His pursuit of perfection is a hallmark of his work. He is known for designing without fuss. “An open design language, stripped of all noise. You see exactly what you’re meant to see, and what you see must be right,” he explains.
Application of the Remy steel door
Everyone who steps into this modern home in Utrecht recognises it immediately. Muted tones, tranquillity, and balance. These elements reveal that Remy Meijers designed this home. This is instantly apparent at the entrance, where you’ll find a stunning pivot door with fixed panels on either side and above. These are powder coated with a mouse grey powder coating (RAL 7040). The colour ensures that the doors blend beautifully with the rest of the interior.
