More than 100 years of De Stijl

It’s been over 100 years since the De Stijl art movement was founded. This movement is characterised by minimalist colours such as white, black, and grey, and simple design. Clean, straight lines dominate the works of De Stijl. Function took precedence over form during this period. Everything was reduced to the basics: geometric shapes and modern materials. And this is exactly the style of our steel doors.
Light
structures
The De Stijl movement originated in 1917 when Theo van Doesburg founded the magazine De Stijl. The architects who joined this movement all sought a new form of art that would modernise society. These architects were also pioneers in the way they designed buildings — with light structures and large windows, ensuring spaces were connected. This aligns with our vision for steel doors, where we believe glass should connect different spaces.

Names for our steel doors
To highlight the character and uniqueness of our steel doors, we’ve named them after architects known for their role in Modernist Architecture. For example, our 3-panel door is named Rietveld — one of the architects from De Stijl. Rietveld designed many rectangular pieces of furniture and buildings, which match the rectangular forms in our steel doors.
