Steel doors at Yasemin and Gökhan in Zaandam
We love hearing that our customers are enthusiastic about our steel doors. One of our enthusiastic clients is Yasemin Demir, for whom we installed a stunning pivot door with side panels in 2019. Read what inspired Yasemin and how she experienced the collaboration with De Rooy Metaaldesign.
Stylish home in Zaandam
From the concrete floor to the botanical accessories – every detail of this stylish home in Zaandam has been carefully considered. This inviting and warm interior belongs to Yasemin and Gökhan, who live here with their children Arsen and Tanem. Although the family has only recently moved in, the house feels instantly welcoming. A warm family home, combined with the luxury of a modern apartment – an excellent combination.
From a close-up of pink bathroom tiles to a beautiful leather chair and the steel doors: Yasemin regularly shares beautiful snapshots on Instagram via the account ‘huizeyaas’. “My passion for interiors started when I quit my job as an accountant,” Yasemin begins. “I love being busy at home. And not just household tasks, but also rearranging and redecorating. That’s how I started an Instagram page where I post nice photos of our home. I also follow various interior bloggers, and they inspire me.”
A new home
At the end of 2017, Yasemin and her husband sold their home and temporarily moved in with her mother. “I had plenty of time there to dive into interior design. There were so many beautiful things and styles! But I was sure of one thing: I wanted steel doors in our new home! I didn’t care where or how, but they had to be part of the house. So out came the floor plans, and we started planning. With help from my all-round stylist sister, we made a quick decision. Because of the open staircase next to the kitchen, I thought it would be useful to separate the two spaces with steel doors. That way, you still create two separate rooms and reduce noise.”
FritsJurgens and quality
So, the couple started looking for a company that could create custom steel doors for them. “After receiving many quotes and making lots of phone calls, my husband found De Rooy Metaaldesign online. He was immediately excited because De Rooy uses the FritsJurgens pivot system, which is beautifully integrated into the doors. According to him, the quality was truly top-notch, and I trust his judgment completely.”
A pleasant experience
“And so we went – off to Ederveen. Quite a drive from Zaandam. I had mentally prepared myself for a long discussion. We had already spent many hours in various kitchen and bathroom shops. But to my surprise, we made our decision very quickly. After a pleasant and short conversation with Wil de Rooy, my husband immediately reached out to shake hands – it was a deal! Of course, we looked at all the doors and options in the showroom and made our choice. It was a nice, straightforward conversation, and we left with a great feeling.”
Fantastic result
Yasemin is delighted with the final result. “It’s so beautiful and sleek. It creates separation in the large space, but not too much, thanks to the glass. When I say that every visitor who comes to our home – and there have been many recently – completely falls in love with the steel doors, I’m not exaggerating. We’re often asked: can we take photos? Of course! It was truly a great choice for our home, and we’ll enjoy it for many years.”
Yasemin and Gökhan chose a pivot door with two fixed side panels, featuring the Dudok panel layout, DRM-P10 profile, and DRM-G2 handle (Pull Handle).
