‘Open character and luxury living style’

We are pleased to hear that our customers are enthusiastic about our steel doors. Two of these satisfied customers are Patrick and Lisanne. In 2019, we installed a beautiful pivot door in their home. Read here what inspired Patrick and Lisanne and how they experienced working with De Rooy Metaaldesign.
Inviting home
Calm colours, plenty of light, and sleek details. The home of Patrick and Lisanne wouldn’t look out of place in a luxury interior magazine. Together with their two-year-old daughter Vayèn Beau, the family has been living for six months in this beautiful new-build home in Zutphen. The home is inviting, and upon entering you immediately feel welcome.
Maintaining the open character
“We love a modern and luxurious lifestyle and work hard for it,” Lisanne begins. “We chose this home because of its location in relation to our work and the urban feeling we were looking for. When planning the layout, we immediately considered the steel doors. We wanted to be able to properly separate the different areas, while still maintaining the open character created by the large windows.” The choice for steel doors was therefore quickly made. Patrick adds: “The steel doors also match beautifully with our large built-in stainless steel fridge-freezer, fireplace mantle, and furniture.”
The search for steel doors
“We actually gathered a lot of inspiration during an unconscious phase, mainly through Pinterest and Instagram,” Lisanne explains. “Following that, we started searching via Google and eventually ended up looking for steel doors. We contacted several suppliers and visited various doors. When we visited the De Rooy showroom, we were quickly convinced by their prestigious, tailor-made doors.”
Tailor-made doors
Patrick: “We place great value on the quality of the doors. The combination with the FritsJurgens pivot system is perfect. It was also important that the doors were tailor-made, so they could be placed precisely and seamlessly into the frame. The pivot doors, especially in the wide passage from the living room to the kitchen, have become an integral part of our home. The steel doors in the living room can swing both ways and look stunning as well.”
The family is extremely pleased with the final result. “The end result complements the beautiful home and our modern, luxury style. We’re very happy with it and will enjoy it for many years to come,” says Patrick.
Door specifications
Patrick and Lisanne chose a pivot door with two fixed side panels. They opted for a Dudok panel layout, the DRM-P10 profile, and the DRM-G2 handle (pull handle).
