What is the difference between Royor and Design Colour Coating?

Are you considering a steel door in a bronze, copper or brass shade? With us, you can choose from two different finishes: Royor and Design Colour Coating. In terms of colour, they are quite similar, but there are clear differences in appearance and finish. Royor is a manually applied coating with more texture and colour variation. A Design Colour Coating is a Powder Coating with a sleeker and more uniform colour. Which of the two is the best fit depends mainly on the look you are aiming for.

Royor: vibrant and unique

Royor is our exclusive metallic-look coating. We apply this finish by hand in multiple layers and it contains copper, bronze and/or brass. This creates a surface with texture and depth. Every Royor door is completely unique. Depending on the natural light, the surface may look slightly different.

Within our Royor collection, you can choose from the shades Copper, Bronze, Dark Bronze and Brass. They are available in two finishes: Striped and Brushed. Striped features clearly visible lines and a pronounced texture. Brushed is more subtle and has a calmer appearance.

When should you choose Royor?

You choose a Royor coating when you want the door to have a handcrafted and exclusive appearance. A Royor coating also combines beautifully with natural materials such as wood and natural stone. Royor is the right choice when:

  • You are looking for a steel door with a vibrant metallic look
  • You like colour variations
  • You want your steel door to have a unique character

Design Colour Coating: sleek and uniform

Our Design Colour Coating is a Powder Coating that is applied evenly over the steel profile. The result is sleeker and calmer than Royor. Within our Design Colour Coating collection, you can choose from many shades, including several bronze and gold tones. This allows you to coordinate the doors perfectly with other materials or elements.

When should you choose a Design Colour Coating?

A Design Colour Coating is a good choice when you are looking for a sleek and uniform finish and want a specific colour to complement the interior. If you prefer a calmer overall look or want to choose from a wide selection of colours, a Design Colour Coating is also the right option.
